I just learned of a woman who was an inspiration for a new novel....Heidi armitage and learned she passed only 6 months after diagnosis. What type of breast cancer did she have? I know it was st4..but not type....

    Hi Theresanne,

    She was presented at Stave IV. It was triple negative. Unfortunately it made its way into her spinal fluid (meningeal carcinoma).

    Hi Bobby,

    My sister and I are getting tested for the BRCA gene because our aunt died at a young age of breast cancer and now our cousin has it to and has tested positive for the gene.  Did Heidi ever get tested once she was diagnosed or did you have family history?  I only ask because the story of her diagnosis and quick passing is very similar to my aunt's story.  Also had she gotten mammograms in the past (like when she turned 40)?  I am not 40 yet so I haven't but I probably will before that whether I test positive or not.

    Thank you for your time and I am so sorry for your loss.  With the release of Mike Greenberg's book I have been hearing a lot about your sister and she sounds like a wonderful person.
