First of all, thank u to all the wonderful and courageous ladies on this board whom have had to go thru this rough journey!!! Also to all whom have responded to all my posts.

Well i am almost done with rads one more treatment and then 7 boosts. My skin is pretty dark and red i some places with the chest wall peeling and it aches and itches along with the underarm, i have been using Silvadene ointment and calendula, and emu oil. It still seems to feel like it gets dry and tight, any info here would be great!!!

I have a concern and am undecided as to what to do. After rads, my onc. Is planning to put me on tamoxifen for 5 years, my ovaries will have to be removed due to having the Brca1 gene. So i asked him if i have my ovaries taken out now will i still need to take tamoxifen. I am er-/pr+ mildly/Her2-. He said no, that i wouldnt need to take it. But i hear otherwise, from my gynecologist. So this is the source of my dilemma. If anyone of you lovely and courageous ladies give input into this matter it woukd be greatly appreciated.

I will be back this evening after my rads. Oh and do i start to feel like myself again, cuz the rafiologists say it usually takes two to three weeks after to feel normal and with more energy.

Well talk to you all later. Have urselves a beautiful day!!

If you are losing your ovaries it may be that Femara or Arimidex may be better for you although I see that you are ER and Pr NEGATIVE?????

    Suzilla,

If you are ER-, I don't believe you would have to take tamoxafin or any AI.  Femara & Arimidex are for ER+ who are post menopausal.  Tamoxafin would be for pre-menopausal.  I'd go with your oncologists suggestion.
