    Hi Everyone,

I am just 3 days post op.  Had my silicone implants removed without anymore reconstruction. My BS called it a "bilateral capsulectomy" and said my capsules were like rocks! He tried to get as much out as he could, but says itis too close to my lungs to get all of the capsule out.  He also cut underneath the skin in my upper chest to help break up scar tissue.  I don't know if the surgery will help with my burning, tightness, pressure, pain caused by poor surgical technique during my original bilateral mastectomy in 2008. See Breast Surgeons cannot wrap their heads around what I just stated above, they will never admit that is what happened.  They blame my pain onto scar tissue and hard capsules, and yes, depression.  Do you know that there is a study being conducted to determine how some women are predisposed to PMPS.  As if!! Anything to blame us. But I know what happened.  Don't let the BS manipulate or intimidate you.  But don't fight with them either.

Yes,my chest does look concave a little.  Right now I have a lot of swelling and 2 drains.  And there is skin hanging. I asked him now to sew me up too tight.  I am all about comfort, not appearance. But I do think that it helped with all of the pain.  Maybe 50% less already.  I am mostly laying around, so the true test will be when I really get active.

Regarding Analogus Fat Grafting, I was told that this was experimental and would not be covered by insurance.  Either way, I cannot see myself having more surgery unless this surgery did not work at all.

Saline and silicone implants are heavy. If they are resting against your chest wall, you are going to have pain. Most women w implants have chronic pain. according to my research.  Well, women w reconst. have pain too.  Cannot understand why this is such a secret.  If I can overcome the pain I have had for 5 years, I am going to try and get the word out about PMPS. Anyone interested in helping me???
