Radiation side effect: BURNING smell....

I have just completed 21 out of 33 txs. I was lying down after tx today, something smelled like it was burning, I asked my husband if he smelled it, he said no. It smells like car exhaust, smoky. Then I realized that it might be a side effect of rads to my lymph nodes in my upper neck I have st 3 breast cancer 12/27 nodes pos. I have done chemo already. Anyway could this be side effect from radiation? I will tell the dr next week.

I've never heard of that and I had rads.  Try asking again on the Radiation forum.  Someone there may be able to help.

I can tell you that I experienced a weird odor that I noticed towards the middle of rads. I think it was the burning skin along w/ the topical creams I was using. It went away after I healed. Hope this helps.
