Bills Rolling in
Well the bills have started rolling in after my exchange surgery. This is my second deductible I have had to meet in less than 8 months, diagnosis and treatment have fallen under 2 different insurance calendar years. Ouch that hurts the pocketbook! Thousands of dollars are leaving my bank accounts and I have a daughter graduating high school in May, and starting college in August.
Just venting, thanks!

The bills are scary arent they? I had met my deductible last year after a routine mamm in October turned into 5 biopsies and then bilateral lumpectomies in Dec.
When I went for a baseline at my Gyno due to tamoxifen, we found several masses and fibroids. I ended up having a total hysterectomy and oophorectomy in Feb which put me over for this year!
Ugh. my co-pay is $3k, and my max out of pocket is $6k/year. Yup, in 5 months I owe $12,000!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do have insurance, but apparently it sucks. I make too much for any assistance, but not enough to pay these bills right now. Vent away because I agree! THis sucks.

Let me offer my 2 cents which is all I have after paying my bills too. We have a 5k ded that was met in 2 months. It is tough to shell out that kind of money esp when you have insurance but at least we do have it. I read a post from a lady who doesnt have health coverage and they wont schedule her treatments which is outrageous. I never saw my BS' bill...I can only imagine it was probably 6 figures and the radiation - 33 treatments...yikes. I even had a colonscopy the same year. So we were at 100% barely 2 months from the dx. It really irritates me how much these doctors charge. We have BCBS so they can only charge specific amounts but still it is no wonder people just dont go to the dr because they cant afford it. We have a Flex plan too and we buzz sawed through that as well. So def go ahead and vent right there with you. diane
