3 yrs. after bilateral mastectomy having lymph nodes removed

My dr has been sending me for ultrasounds every three months to monitor a couple of enlarged lymph nodes. After my last my ultrasound his office called and asked me to come in ASAP. My dr wants them removed, and has ordered a pet scan which I am doing in a couple of days. He had such a sense of urgency in his voice and with all the fuss, I never asked him want his concerns are. Has anyone had a similar experience, and what was your outcome?
