Yeah-- I read that too yesterday and got a little excited.   I keep thinking about the women who got successful bone marrow transplants back in the 90's ( i think) for their breast cancer - positive nodes, large tumors etc and are NED for 18 , 19 years now.   I think I would have signed up for that had I had the chance.  I know this is T cells not bone marrow.

I just hope they try this soon with Breast Cancer -  and I hope it doesn't take too darned long to figure out if this is a great option.

This treatment works by "reprogramming" T-cells to recognize and kill any cell that carries a particular protein on its surface. If there's a protein that is found only on the surface of breast cancer cells, I think you're right and this kind of a treatment could be developed for breast cancer too. Does anyone know whether there is such a protein?
