Relationship stress

I am not sure how to handle this. My husband who gets very moody forgot to bring my daughter to swimming lessons. He did not forget he said, he did it on purpose because he feels I should have picked her up from daycare myself, but instead I was already at the pool in bathingsuit and chitchatting with sister-in-law. I just got there 5 minutes earlier. Later he made it very clear that he would not bring her to swimming if it was a work day for him. He gets off two hours before I do. Pretty much told me with fire in his eyes. There were a few other incidents like that. My boys had not cleaned up their room and there was dirty clothes all over. I am talking disaster. Instead of supporting me, he bought them take out food and let them watch tv, which we have a rule about during the week. Meanwhile, I was doing 5 loads of laundry and cleaning their room like a cindarella.

I had purchased hockey tickets for myself and my son, but decided that since it was a work week that I would not go and wanted to give them to my brother who is also a huge hockey fan.  Plus it was his birthday. My husband has not spoken to me since, it has been three days. I just could not get myself to give him the ticket after he treated me so disrespectfully. When I told him, he was ready to leave the relationship.

Is counseling with a professional an option? An impartial 3rd party who could listen to the 2 of you tell each other (in a civil tone) what you need and what isn't working could help open lines of communication.

    Best of luck
