I went to my doc yesterday as I have some discomfort in my right breast. She examined meand said she felt a thickening and would refer me to a breast clinic which could take two weeks.

Today I am truly hurting, it is burning and itching and I am SOOO scared.

    Please help me xx

Have you had pain for long. I had pain a few years ago and asked my family Doc. She said as long as my mammograms are Ok dont worry about it. Pain does not mean you have breast cancer. Well fast forward years later and I notice my breast seems fuller. I went to a wedding and got a bear hug from a friend and it hurt. I went to the Doc after a few months of this and it was cancer. I truly believe it was starting years ago and just didn't show up on the mammogram. Please get an ultrasound and follow up on this. They also have a new test for dense breast some sort of MRI. Not covered by insurance but worth it if it saves you going through this. I am now in Chemo and have a year of treatment ahead. I wish I would have followed up more with the pain issue. I did not have burning pain but it always felt bruised. Maybe you can call and put up a fit and get in to be seen sooner. Good luck. I hope your case turns out to be nothing but a silly infection! Prayers for you.....

I have not been diagnosed with BC however I have an abnormal benign lymph node in the left breast tissue. This was found in an ultrasound Feb 14/13 same day as mammogram. Im not sure what to think my symptons are as follows...tenderness on the left side of left breast, itchy on  and the inside (at first i thought mastitis but my children are 18,11,10), breast is very heavy feeling, i know there is a difference in it I can feel it. There is no lump just pain and itchy, tingling, heat and discharge from the nipple at times its been since November 2012 give or take a month since this has been going on. My question is this....if this ultrasound comes back benign again should I be looking for a second opinion??? We know our own bodies and when something is different its different. I do not want this to worsen and be diagnosed later in life when its to late...any info/suggestions would be so greatful....Thank you.
