Should CoQ10 be taken In Postmenopausal Breast Cancer

Any one can advise?

Conflicting results, don't know what to believe?

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20...

CONCLUSIONS:

Higher CoQ10 levels in postmenopausal women may be associated with increased breast cancer risk.

www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/b...

The study suggests that supplementation
of CoRN along with tamoxifen to breast cancer patients
reduces the serum tumour marker levels of CEA and
CA 15-3, thereby offering better cancer prognosis by reducing
the risk of developing cancer recurrence and metastasis.

So, should CoQ10 + B2 + B3 be used?

I decided to skip it, given the conflicting info.

I just met with my naturopathic oncologist yesterday for the first time and an exhaustive patient history etc.  He saw I was taking one capsule /day (200 mg.)? and didn't bat an eye, but he said I didn't really need it.

I'm taking tamoxifen and am post-meno, but was pre-meno when dx.

Info was recently released that taking a statin lowers the chances of recurrence significantly, but does lower the amount of CoQ10 in the body. Tough call, but my thought is that if it depletes your CoQ10, maybe that's what's supposed to happen. It's quite the roulette game, but based on that info, I think you'd be better of without it. Just my scientifically-challenged mind making sense of it, but something to consider.
