Hi all -

So I have not been diagnosed yet - I go to the surgeon on Tuesday.  Have had the mammo and ultrasound and naturally it did not show anything.  I was on antibiotic's for 10 days and it did not get better.

I still have the pain and redness but was also wondering if anyone has had really bad pain after they wake up?  Basically when I stand up after sleeping, it feels as if my breast is tearing inside.

Is that a symptom?

Thank you -

Karyn

    Thank Bon -

Yeah - it does sound like a strain but the fact that it just started to occur 2 weeks after the redness and pain makes me believe it is not.  But who knows.  It has been 3 weeks and the redness comes and goes.  It never goes away completely just turns a light pink.  The pain is increasing though to the point that it takes my breath away and that is not just when I wake up - it is on and off all day!  It is funny, I looked at my breast (as I do a million times a day now) this morning and thought, hey Lucy (that is what I call my left boob) doesn't look so bad today.  Then POW!  A couple hours later massive pain.  For no reason.  I am just sitting there watching my soaps and there you go!

I would love to get a diagnosis of a muscle strain or pull but am very fearful that it is not.

The waiting is the hardest part - I don't know how you all have done it and give you so much credit and props for being so strong!  I think once I know one way or another, I will be able to move on and stop obsessing over it.

Thanks to you all - this board is a big help!
