Hair PRIOR to diagnosis-looking back, any hair-related symptoms?

Ok, so my hair has always been fine, and I've always had a bit of hair loss when I showered, but in the years leading up to my diagnosis, I specifically remember thinking the amount of hair loss I was experiencing seemed excessive.  Of course I never thought anything of it as I thought it was just me getting older (although I was only in my late 30s).  I had my first child at 35, then the second was born when I was 37.  I also don't remember thinking about my hair integrity prior to having children.  I was diagnosed with bc at 40.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this per se, but I guess I'm wondering if the changes in my hair were early symptoms of the cancer?  My BS said I'd had the cancer for years prior to diagnosis, so the timing adds up!  Thinking back, prior to your diagnosis, do you recall any remarkable changes in your hair?

Now that I've had my BMX, chemo, and reconstruction, and am for all intensive purposes, NED, I'm wondering if my "new" hair will be healthier.  I was really not liking my pre-cancer hair...it just seemed so "sick."

Interested to hear if anyone else had a similar experience and if your post treatment hair seems healthier.  I'm just about 4 months PFC, and while my hair turned really grey on the sides, I'm not noticing it falling out in the shower (it's only an inch long or so, but still). :)
