Add another option to the Surgery types in My Treatments?

Hi Mods,

I was recently diagnosed with liver mets. If there are only the two growths that are known to be there so far, my oncologist says it may be possible to remove them surgically. I just looked in "My Treatments", and there's no option for surgical removal of mets.

I notice there is also only Cryosurgery and not Radio Frequency Ablation, which I am told is sometimes used for liver mets. Is it possible to add a surgery type of "Resection of Metastases", or if that is too specific and would only be used by a few forum members, is it possible to add a surgery type of "Other" with an option for the user to add what type of surgery in a text field? That way people who have unusual or experimental treatments can also record them. Thanks

curveball, thank you for the suggestion. We'll run it by the team, and see if we can find an effective way to roll this into planned customization updates.

In the meantime, using the Signature section is a good way to add details of treatments that aren't on the standard list, so they can be part of every post.

Hi Mods, I'm already using my signature for Oncotype score and age at diagnosis. What's the capacity of the signature? I mean, how many characters can I put in there?

Also, is there a way to make a line break in the signature? I tried just now using a <p> HTML tag, but that didn't work, so I deleted it.

curveball, we tested with a different line break tag, and couldn't make it happen either. I can check, but I suspect that's intentional to avoid a lot of formatting, so the focus is on members' posts. Although there likely is a character limit, I didn't hit it in my test.

Where you can use the same formatting as in posts (line breaks, bulleted lists, pictures) is in biography in your Profile, if you want to use the Signature to send readers to the bio to learn more about your specific treatment/s.

We will follow up on expanding this part of customization though!
