Medicare and Supplemental Insurance

Did anyone out there have problems getting Xeloda covered by your Medicare Supplement?

Medicare is paying their portion but my Supplemental insurance is denying payment on the remaining 20% of the approved charges.  Their wording is "this drug is not a benefit on your plan"  Have also contacted my Medicare D plan and they don't cover it either.  The amount we are asked to pay is over $300.00 for two weeks of Xeloda.  I went on Medicare in Nov. 2012.

I'm not on Medicare YET but my insurance company refused to cover any of it. I asked my oncologist to do the 5FU infusion and I wore a CADD pump for two days. It was covered by my insurance company. Xeloda is the pill version of 5FU.
