I'm confused about my stage

As you can see by my profile info, I'm currently recovering from a double mastectomy and am new to the boards. I don't have a follow up with my breast surgeon for another week or two but have already had one follow-up with my plastic surgeon. I also have a meeting Tuesday with my chemo doctor to touch base before my first round of chemo next week. I haven't heard anything about what stage I am. With a 2.5 tumor and 7 nodes...would I be a stage II or III? Unofficially, of course. I'm curious, more than anything, until I can get an official from one of my docs.



Y'all seem to be such experts and SO knowledgeable, I thought you might have some insight.

While only your doctor can truly give you your stage, you may be interested in reading up on how staging is done on the main Breastcancer.org site's page on Stages of Breast Cancer, which details how each stage is defined. There's also helpful information in the Treatment section in the Options by Cancer Stage pages.
