Trunk LE
Is this something that can show up months after wearing a sleeve and glove? I have been having a new very bad pain in my breast for the last five days. I have called my Dr. and she said she was going to get in touch with my physical therapist she had sent me to. She has a DPT, CLT after her name. My breast does appear to be more swollen and I have more pain in my shoulder then normal.

Kitty, the short answer to your question is: yes.
But not necessarily as a result of the sleeve and glove. Truncal LE has its own reason for being--usually both node removal and scar tissue formation from surgery and/or rads. Pain is fairly common with truncal LE, doesn't usually respond well to pain meds, and can shift around from place to place and be hard to pin down. It's great that your doctor is acting so quickly on it. Treatment, which involves Manual Lymph Drainage and some kind of compression (bra, cami, sport shirt), eases both the swelling and the pain, and it reduces your risk of serious infection. Here's more information about it, including (at the bottom of the page) a lot of compression options:

There are many of us here dealing with this, so please tell us how we can help.Gentle hugs,

Purple, thank you for the link. I have to wait until March 12 to see my therapist. I did talk to her on the phone and she said the pain I am describing could be radiation fibrosis. So I will know more when I finally get to see her. I do seem more swollen, wonder if it could be both.

It sounds plausible that it may well be both, kitty.
I would ask your LET if she thinks you should be wearing a cami type compression garment daily, I would imagine so, but I might be mistaken, so please ask first. I believe it may help the swelling, but I do not know about your other issues at all.
Let us know .
Good Luck to you - feel better!
