A reconstructive ps who does not take insurance??? Does she mostly do cosmetic surgery? If so, you want to look elsewhere. Your ps should be very experienced not only in one step but reconstructive surgery, not cosmetic!

turtlegirl, I didn't have your situation, but I can highly recommend Dr. Jaco Festekjian @ UCLA.  He did my Diep recon, but I can't imagine that he or any of the PSs @ UCLA Plastic Surgery (at the main UCLA Medical Plaza in Westwood) wouldn't be exactly what you're looking for.  You can Google him, and you're welcome to PM me if you want his contact info' or have any other questions I can answer.  He's really amazing, and unlike some of the PSs where I live (Palm Springs area), UCLA takes most insurance.    Deanna

Thanks Deanna! I do think I found one yesterday. I met with my breast surgeon and she recommended Dr. Regina Baker from USC. I still am waiting on my mammo/MRI results, but hopefully will get to meet her soon.

Oh and I did cancel my appt for the plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. Way too many red flags going on in my head for that one.
