    Thank you for posting this.  Yes, absolutely, contaminants in the environment increase breast cancer risk.  Here's another good article (from Breast Cancer Action) about the “Breast Cancer and the Environment — Prioritizing Prevention" report -

    Breast Cancer Action is saying that strong, scientific evidence already exists about environmental links to breast cancer, and thus, ACTION is needed - not just more and more research.  We need the EPA, the FDA, and other regulatory agencies, to do a better job of protecting us all from these endocrine-disrupting and carcinogenic chemicals.
