Active Treatment Finished Today
After 14 months, 3 surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation, and bags upon bags of chemo drugs and Herceptin dumped into my port, I am done with "active" treatment! I will continue on this road to recovery and mostly I know it will get better each day. I do however hope to NEVER see the inside of a "chemo suite" again. I was thrilled that my husband and daughter got to celebrate with me today. My 2 1/2 year old son stayed at preschool as he would probably be climbing the IV pole within minutes. This is a post for the new Stage 3 sisters. I was paralyzed with fear and in emotional agony 14 months ago. I made it and so can you. Today is a good day!
