Not really sure, but I do know it can grow fast!

When I first felt my lump I was convinced it was a cyst like all my other lumps have been, and waited to see how it would develop, fully expecting it to go down.  In the 5 weeks before I had it checked out, it went from pea-sized to marble-sized; ultimate biopsy after lumpectomy (3 weeks later) said it was 1.5 cm x 1.5.cm.

So I'd say it can grow pretty fast and you should not wait more than a week to get things checked out.  Once you get it checked, there will be a wait for treatment: getting onto surgeon's schedule, etc.

Ann, TNBC, Stage 1, Grade 3, clear margins, no lymph involvement.  Lumpectomy on 9/28/12, followed by C+T chemo (4 infusions) and radiation (I've completed 8 of 33 sessions).
