Can TNBC appear overnight and how long does it take for it to grow before a lump is felt?

It can seem like overnight.  My lump grew from "Is that a lump" to "I think that's a lump" to "I think it's bigger" to "I'd better get that checked" in about 3 weeks, maybe 4.  Ann

yep..tn is often called "interval" cancer due to the fact it shows up between mammograms...had a mammo in Aug. 09 found the lump "overnight" 6 months later...wonder sometimes if my mammo was really clear but guess there is no use freaking out about it now...weird thing is..my SIL had just been diagnosed with bc in the summer of 09 and after I received my letter saying I was all clear I still felt that something was wrong...my tumor was 1.8 cm which I dont consider particularly small..

When I had a breast MRI the tumor measured at 2 cm.  I had surgery two weeks later, and it was 3.2 cm.  I know the breast MRIs can't always be trusted, but I did start having pain in the tumor area before my surgery.
