What makes me feel normal...

Options

There are a few things i do every day that make me feel.. normal... cooking, or cleaning.. orworking with flowers, or some kind of craft... sometimes just being able to shower and cook my own lunch isenough to make me feel normal lol

I knew this week i wanted to give the people at the onco center somewthing for valentines day.

I stopped working a couple years ago at the shop... i am a florist.

i really miss it.. i miss the flowers and most of all the connections with the people.

So i made little mini bouquets, using small silk flowers, accented with purple sprayed baby's breath, about 2 inches long, wrapped up in a pretty pink and purple paper.. and for the " bow" i glued a fresh purple button mum onto the package and gave them away to nurses, blood techs and patients who i felt needed some love from the flowers.

It made me feel soooo good to see their smiles...

It took a lot out of me to do it.. but i took 3 days to do it.. lol

so.. just remember to find something that makes u feel good.. and go with it..

bewell

Going for drives, feeding my grandson, listening to music while reading a good book and once warmer weather arrives, it will be sitting on my deck with a glass of iced tea listening to birds and my neighbor's waterfall.

Maybe I should add going to the Dairy Queen for a soft serve cone. This is my DH's favorite outing when I feel housebound.

Celine, I have an old fashioned spirea and I love watching it 'snow' in a spring breeze. I have pansies and camelias now and in the summer a large variety of daylillies, gardenias and Rose of Sharon. Anything blooming in my yard makes me feel normal. I am going to cut some daffodils.

    Happy Valentine's Day!
