Hi. I just had AC; doxirubicin every two weeks four times. Now I am starting toxol on a weekly basis 12. Just curious what other IBC'ers have done. I just found out from another onco today that Doxi is sometimes administered every three weeks. I didn't know that was an option. I am slowly seeing changes in my breast, such as the nipple area I have a sensation and softening of the breast. It seems so small though. What have your changes been like?

    Hi Bon,

Thank you! I am about 2 months into chemo and I see ever so slight changes in my breast, but meanwhile it has spread to other parts of my body. Someone told me that a biopsy can cause the cancer to spread. Have you ever heard that?

Interesting. Every doctor told me I had to get a biopsy. So, IBC could have been diagnosed without a biopsy? And I could have started chemo without it. I healed just fine, but a friend in the medical field told me that once you start shaking all that cancer up, it can cause more problems. I was stage III at diagnosis, ie biopsy and soon found myself at stage IV. I noticed someone else on here did not have a biopsy. I am guessing then that radiological tests can see cancer without the need for a biopsy?
