nipple spparing surgery without reconstruction

Having bi-lateral mastectomy surgery in a week. Not a candidate for trans flap whatever and do not want to set myself up for a lifelong maitenance project with implants. I am breaking this information to my breast surgeon tomorrow. I originally was going to get implants with nipple sparing surgery but have had a change of heart. Has anyone had nipple sparing surgery without reconstruction? Advice? Comments? I need help! Thanks!
