Herceptin side effects

Hi,

I finished my chemotherapy two weeks ago and i have had 2 sessions of herceptin (out of 18) and am experiencing very watery eyes preventing me from wearing contact lens or make up.



Is this a common side effect and does anyone have any solutions or suggestions of ways to help?



Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hey woodenface,



Herceptin alone has given me the worst dry eyes (which made them run)! I can actually feel them drying out while the infusion is running and now always take ampoules of eye moisturiser with me to each infusion and use them every 15mins or so! Then I use the drops every couple of hours for the next few days or whenever my eyes feel dry again.



I have found that once I started using the drops it has been better. I am due for my last infusion in 2 weeks and am hoping my eyes go back to normal after that.
