Manubrium lit up in bone scan and MRI.

Options

I had a bone scan 3 months ago because of pain in my back - the bone scan showed uptake in the manubrium, and one vertebrae, and recommended additional testing to follow up. My oncologist told me that she wasn't concerned that it was mets, and that i didn't need to do anything else.

I went back to my GP, and told him that my manubrium felt swollen and hurt when I pressed it, and he sent me for a regular x-ray that came back fine, so he said that i probably just strained the joint. the pain did go away, but it still feels swollen to me.

then 1 month ago i had my regular yearly breast mri. this showed a lump in the manubrium. Now suddenly my oncologist is taking it seriously, and yesterday i did a Pet-CT. Results will only be back in a week.

What are the chances that the pet-ct will be clear? is there anything apart from mets that could have been showing up on all the tests? from what i have read, mets to the manubrium are quite rare and are not the same as other bone mets. In fact, i'm not sure whether i understand if they are bone or tissue mets even...

I'd love to hear from anyone who can add any info for me please

thanks

thanks Lily - it's been two years since rads, so i don't think that's it, and although i should be exercising, i'm not :-(

i think i just need to leave Dr Google alone and wait for the results next week :-)
