Purple is the new Pink
The colour soothes me... excites
Purple , like many others, is my favorite color.
BC (before cancer ) , i got a Tatoo, my daughters both have them and they wanted to buy me one for years. I am not a big fan of them, tho i do find it a fascinating way to express creativity... i just could not imagine anything i wanted on my skin permenently ..other then... Purple
The color sooths me... excites me... makes me giddy... and i said if i would get anything tatooed it would be a purple dot..
So last summer.. My eldest (who is due with her second child feb 25th ) ,my baby daughter, turning 21 on feb 23rd... and my 4year old grandson, went to get Granma a tatoo...
It\s my purple Happy Dot ! (and my grandson sporting a stunning green marker dot!! ) when i push it or touch it i hear my grandson saying "i love you granma" or i see purple bubbles everywhere!
I use it in meditation and to spread good vibes... people love it! my nurses, cansupport staff have both used my purple dot on envellopes instead of my name . My support group all wear purple marker dots on their wrist when they come with me to tx ... and my sister and i are now recognized as the purple girls.
One elderly woman, who was there for her husband... was so attracted to the whole idea and she joined in ! She wears purple on her husbands treatment day and... when she heard i hate wearting hats. she had a BEAUTIFUL , wool knit hat made for my sister and i (she was affraid id get cold ) ... i was so touched! i wear it anytime im outside... after all its winter and even though i cant stand to wear hats/scarves/wigs... i needed something , she is so sweet.
I want to spread the purple happy feeling... so i am going to print up some stickes and maybe a deck of purple happy dot cards, with pictures on the opposite sides that make ppl happy...
I am so blessed to be loved and cared for ... and in many ways I learned this because of cancer.
The patients, the proffesionals and the volunteers that i have met on this path have helped me with each step i take , and if there is anyway, to help them... i will jump on it.me... makes me giddy... and i said if i would get anything tattooed it would be a purple dot..
