Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has been to MDA?  I am scheduled to go there in 2 weeks, and I am looking forward to their help and advice.

I had a 2mm ILC no nodes, ER+, PR+, and Her2-, clean margins.   The MO here (I have seen 3) all tell me the use of Tamoxifen is up to me and since I still have a uterus I am concerned as to what to do.  I had a BLMX and small chance of recurrence.  I am hoping MDA can guide me a little more on the use of Tam.

Many, many women on various boards have been to MDA. Your treatment sounds much like standard protocol at this point. I assume you are going to be thoroughly scanned and evaluated or are you just seeking a second opinion? I'm glad I went otherwise locally would have misdiagnosed me.



They are tops and I hope you draw an onc that you like a lot. Mine was a brilliant tech but not real warm and fuzzy. He knew what he was about though.

I went to MDA as a 2nd opinion & they are very thorough! I stuck with & am currently living in SC. I had my surgery 2 wks ago which was a lumpectomy & no lymph nodes involved thank God. PR+/ER+ & HER2-. I will start 4 wks of radiation next wk but looking for a place to stay for that period of time. Everything downtown in the medical center area is outrageous on price with a 1bdrm furnished apt starting at $2600.00 a month!!! I will obviously drive in from outside that area.
