Oil of Oregano

Does anyone know if Oil of Oregano raises estrogen levels? I have found it works on viruses such as colds and even herpes. It is taken orally and is found in health food & supplement stores. I really appreciate any info that you have as my husband was told by a colleague that it elevates estrogen levels. Thanks.

I hope it's not estrogenic because it's a natural treament for yeast infection.  Livestrong has some information on it under "Oregano & Hormones."   I would post the link if I knew how, but it says: "Although oregano impacts progesterone, it has no impact on other hormones in the body.  The findings were published in the March 1998  issue of "Proceedings of the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine."

There's so much information and misinformation on the web that I sometimes want to pull my hair out.  Well-meaning folks pass on what they've read or heard and away we go trying to chase down the truth.
