Thoracic Spine Damage from Rads

Options

I had radiation on right breast in 2007.  Since then my upper body has slowly leaned to the left.  Now my head and shoulder are pulled down to the left and my hip rides up on the left.  I just read that radiation can do nerve damage and muscle damage to the spine if the radiation 'hits' it during treatment.  It is super painful and exhausting.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?  Thank you.

I am sorry you are going through this.  I have not had rads yet but want you to know that I care you are going through such a thing.

I am sorry to hear this. What is your radiation oncologist saying? I think the radiation should not have hit your spine.

My mom had oesophagus cancer and she was given radiation to her spine. Two years after her radiation, she developed radiation myelitis. It was terrible. You must start physical therapy right away.
