I'm BRCA1 and had a bilateral mastectomy 3 months ago because 5 cm of DCIS was found. Turns out, pathology found a 1.5 cm tumour in there too. ER/PR+  Her - ; no nodes involved.

I'm now (anxiously) waiting for oncotype results but wondering if any of you had tumours that looked like they would generate a low oncotype score but ended up with chemotherapy becuase of the BRCA1?

I haven't heard that BRCA has any impact on Oncotype scores. I had two tumors, both very small and got one of the highest Oncotype of seen for ER/PR+. I was 42. For a 7mm tumor, I got chemo. They will want to pay close attention to your ovaries, but will rely on the Oncotype. Another friend had a 3 cm tumor, but no chemo as very low Oncotype. It is all an odds game, but for a low Oncotype, the risks of chemo are worse than the risk of reoccurance. Even with chemo, my risk remains higher than many low Oncos. I think the test has really helped prevent over treatment. They likely will start you on Tamoxifen or similar if you haven't already. Good luck.
