I keep reading posts and I know it's because I still have questions. Ive had two biopsies in my right breast (2010) and duct removed in right breast where bs said a "string of papillomas was removed, and hyperplasia was found".

The following two years mammo's were all good until this past October where mammo showed microcalcifications and lump, left breast. Biopsy cameback b9. Several weeks later new lump found in different area of same breast. Bs said let's remove both old and new because she didn't feel comfortable leaving older lump in based on breast exam. Lumpectomies both b9, path shows columnar cell change with apocrine metaplasia, hyperplsia.

I have a maternal aunt with ovarian cancer and maternal grandfather who had prostate cancer. I know im fine now, but still wonder if all of this activity is significant? I can't help but feel that these busy cells will grow into more serious lesions even though I've read this isnt true. Just wondering if anyone else started out with a lot of b9 lesions until they found something positive?
