Margins

I did not have clear margins after my lumpectomy. Only 1 of the 3 were clear. Are there any gals out there with unclear margins? I am stage IV now as my 6 months of chemo did not work! I cannot believe how unlucky I am, it is horrible. Please comment. Hugs, Renae

    Renae: I am so sorry to hear that you are Stage 4 - that truly sucks! Sometimes it is just not possible to get clear margins, and sometimes chemo doesn't clean things up as it should. I had one very narrow margin (1 mm), but as they had gone right to the chest wall, nothing more to be done. 

    I hope they can find a chemo regimen that works on your mets - do you have a treatment plan in place?
