New to the Club
SO I just came back from my post op apt with the BS and they did find alot of things with the lumpectomy that i had done on Jan 3rd.
A little background about me you will see in my Signature
So from what i gather from the apt and results is that I am stuck in the club for at least 6 months to 2 years as she the BS stated .
They took out 9cm x 7.5cm x 3.5 cm ( am large breasted ) I do have alot of swelling since i had the lump done. it is healing fine with no infection present at this time . which is a good thing
They did find a 1.2cm phyolldes tumour, a .8cm fibroadema , no evidence of intradutal papiloma , they found 19 cyst. 6 were fiuld filled , 3 were squamous debris filled, 4 were inflammed and early formation of abcesses. Haven't gone all through the report yet.
The background of breast parenchrma is benign with fibrocystic changes . lots of columnar alteration, Apocrine metaplasis and florid ductal epithelia hyperplasis with atypica, focal area of stromal myxomatous change is noted as areas of fibroadenomatoid change.
so again here i come to wait for at least another 4 months for a US and Mammo
thought this would be over but i guess not.

I am just finding this website. I had an u/s Jan 2, called back for a repeat u/s Jan 8 and mammogram same day. Was referred to see a surgeon FIRST before scheduling a mammogram directed core biopsy (?)...saw surgeon this morning, didn't seem overly concerned, but still said we needed the biopsy, so it's sched for Jan 22. Mother had colon, breast and lung cancer, I was dx with Acinic Cell Carcinoma of the parotid in 2009, surgically removed with close, but clear margins, I follow up annually for rechecks. So, just a little worried about the biopsy....
