Hi has anyone had a breast cancer at first diagnosis be estrogen and her 2 positive then I had a recurrence in soft tissue chest wall sternum area. But this time it is triple negative??! I had 3 rounds of lxempira and radiation 5 days in a row. After last chemo was pet scanned have no evidence of disease. But dr is scanning again 8weeks. How and why did this demon change to triple negative and it is hard for me to think positively when I never see posts of those who have tumors that where not ressectable?? It was in the lymph nodes of mammary glands too so where is it now?????

Well, it sounds like the drugs did their job.  Hopefully that will still be the case in 8 weeks.  I will be praying for you.  I can't answer the question about it turning into TN.  I just know it can happen.  I read a little about it on the net.  You may be able to find some resources there just make sure they are respectable sites.  Hang in there!

My tumours changed from her2+ to TN. So weird but i know that it is not uncommon for breast cancer pathologies to change over time, sneaky buggers.

I had a large one under my collarbone, wrapped around all my nerves etc. When they said it might be inoperable I was terrified, but a brilliant neurosurgeon removed it and another gave me vein grafts. So lucky. I now have some behind the sternum and they are inoperable. I have been on Abraxane chemo for a couple of months and that has shrunk them very well.

I guess we just have to stay strong and keep doing whatever we can, but it really is tough never knowing what's around the corner.
