Anyone on Zometa as an anticancer?

Finished treatments 3 years ago and diagnosed with osteopenia,
I'm now on Zometa and wondering if anyone else is on this drug for osteoporosis prevention and for its use as an anticancer.
My oncologist says that now zometa proved that doesn't have any anticancer activity and he thinks to change it.
What drug do you take for osteopenia? Does any of you have zometa as an anticancer?
