I am one of four girls in my family.  All three of my sisters have been diagnosed with her2 positive.  I have read varying reports about heredity and her2 pos.  Am I at higher risk to develop it?

You might need to take the test to see if you carry the gene too. 3 sisters already...doesnt mean you do too but not in your favor. My mother had bc and now my sister and I both have it.

Do you mean BRCA2 positive? HER2 is a protein that is found in cancer tissue (meaning you have to already have cancer), BRCA (1&2) is a gene that indicates a high risk for developing breast (and ovarian) cancer.

hi there. does anyone have an idea what exactly is the % of chances developing into breast cancer if excison biopy result to finding Breast Fibrocystic disease with ductal epitheliosis, ADH and columnar cell atypia but Excision margins are free? Histopathology report indicate that ADH/columnar cell atypia is focal.  previously, 4 core biopsy showed Proliferative breast disease with mild atypia.

I was recommended now for a follow up in 3 months time but have to go to my surgeon right away if anything bothers me.  i thought 6 months is the common waiting period. right now, I'm still in shock and trying to digest what's going on even researching just to understand those words in my histopathology report. i'm a 46yo single and did try to have at least a healthy lifestyle to avoid this kind of situation but guess I'm wrong after all.  thanks
