Need advice please (Nupogen shots)

I just done with my first chemo (TAC) . I had 8 shots of Nupogen after my chemo.After my blood test  Now my oncologist want 9  shots of Nupogen after every chemo.

Is that ok ? Any informition will be help full

    My first round, I had 10 shots. Then after blood tests, next round was changed to 8. I think it depends on what the onc believes is needed, as per your blood work. No more or less than necessary.

    zohra.....Is there any Insurance problems that you are not getting NEULASTA/

    That's given only once after 24 hour of chemo (Next day)

    It's very expensive....but that many neupogen shot might even cost more

    After first 2 chemo I was given Neuprogen 4 or 5 days

    Finally the insurance approved and i was able to get the Neulasta...

    My onc recommended 7 shots ( 7 days) of Neupogen after each chemo. 

    Hated the leg pain, but it got much better after 3-4 days.

    If it keeps my WBC up, I'll keep taking the shots.... I don't want to wind up in the hospital, or delay my next treatments!

    Just can't believe the cost... $500/injection...yikes
