Any guidelines for large BIRADS 3 masses, removal vs follow ups?

I'm currently doing six month follow ups for the next two years due to a large mass that is currently 4.6 cm x 4.7 cm (biopsy showed pash).  The first follow up appt indicated minor growth/stable, but how big will someone let it grow before complete removal is recommended?  Is there a size guideline when enough is enough and a BS would say take it out because it's just getting too large?  Thanks...and have a happy holiday.
