Zohra, I am pretty sure that if the pathology report says ILC, then it is ILC. You list that it is HER-, do you know about the ER and PR status of the cancer?
-
Thanks for reply :-)
Here is some more information about her biopsy reports . Any information will be help full.
Right breast 4.0 cm at 10 o, clock , core biopsy .
1 - Invasive Lobural Carcinoma, grade 2 involing 98% of the core.
(Tubules 3, Nuclei2 . Mitosis 1 total score 6/9
2- Lobular Carcinoma in Situ ,Focal , Minimal
ER + PR- HER-2 - KI 67 high.
We did not get new biopsy report . She had another biopsy in her left arm.
Thanks again
Zohra

Her diagnosis, according to this report, is ILC (Invasive Lobular Carcinoma).

Sorry, I hit "enter" too soon. She also has LCIS, which stands for lobular carcinoma in situ. The acronyms can get confusing!
-
Zohra, I am no expert, but it looks like ILC and LCIS, not IBC. Ahlan, min ayna anti?

Hello ,
Thanks for all replies. Momine , my mother cancer is smiler to you. My aunt had cancer and passed away. Unfortunately , she was in back home (Afghanistan) so did not get good treatment.
My mother oncologist wants TAC for my mother. Then surgery then radiation. Can you please give me little information about (prophylactic ovary removal)
Thanks
zohra

Ahh, got it. So you speak Pashtu or Dari probably, not Arabic.
Anyway, the treatment plan sounds right.
The prophylactic ovary removal for me was because I was not yet in menopause. It was to stop my own estrogen production and to protect me against ovarian cancer down the road. I assume your mother is past menopause, so this is not something she has to think about now. Given the ER+ on her cancer, they will probably want to put her on an aromatase inhibitor once she is done with treatment. But the main thing right now is to get started on chemo and staying strong through that.
