WE ARE FIVE WOMEN. FIVE STORIES. ONE CAUSE. BREAST CANCER.

 

We are 5 women undert the age of 40 who have each been faced with breast cancer and have survived.  During our time with breast cancer, we realized how little information and advice is out there because of how rare it is to have breast cancer at such a young age.  We know it, we lived it and now we want to pay it forward and help others in the same shoes anyway possible!

 

5 Under 40 is a non profit that aims to provide the comprehensive resources and vital tools necessary for early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer, as well as those diagnosed with the BRCA gene mutation, for women under age 40 in the New York Metro and New Jersey area. Our mission is to enable women within this demographic to receive diagnostic, treatment, and post treatment services. Additionally, services will be offered which address the “whole being” as a way to empower women, foster hope and strengthen the survivorship phase. This philosophy recognizes the interconnection to multi-disciplinary from medical to psychological to enhance overall well being in the face of this disease.

If you read more on these boards, sadly it really isn't all that rare to have BC under 40 anymore. There are many, too many, of us.
