Hope all our NW California sisters are safe from the earthquakes and aftermath.
Happy Monday, everyone.
-
HI Chickie! I hope John is doing well! And you too. I growl at you everytime I get one of your emails for a cruise to some beautiful place and then look out my window at reality!!!
Hope everyone has a great week! Here's to good news for everyone!!!
I have to go back to my PS and get deflated yet one more time. This just isn't letting up, but thank God it is just fluid and not infection. I am hoping he says something I want to hear. Last week it was not leaning that way.
I also have to take my sick car to the shop. Wish me luck! If it's over $1000 it hits the auction block!

And drumroll....the shit storm continues! I feel like whining and so I came here. My daughter who is 33 had a tightness in her chest after starting a new birth control pill...so, smart girl that she is, she went to the ER to rule out a blood clot and they did a CT scan and she is fine...no clots etc...EXCEPT, they found a reasonbly large nodule on her thyroid gland that they are recommending she see an endocrine doc and have biopsied...Fine needle type...to rule out...YOU GUESSED IT! CANCER! WTF??? My life has really been in a downward spiral lately. Her PCP said nothing to worry about cause at least 50% of population has nodules and 95% of biopsies are benign...but I am still WORRIED. Oh and the endocrine can see her on May 15th soonest! Said not an emergency. I have to wait all that time (and so does she) to find out if this thing is harmless???? OK, enough bitching...love you all and hope you are well...did not back read cause I am at work and better get back to it. Say a prayer for my baby, kay? xoxo
-
Hugs and prayers for you and your baby April. The waiting just SUX
-
April, I will hold you and your daughter in my heart and prayers.
-
So my shit storm continues too! I am headed into day surgery again Friday to get a damn drain put in. Don't kow how long I will have it but I have tickets for a mini vacay on April 7 with my husband. I was supposed to go with him last year before all hell broke loose. We SO need this break together and I don't want to go with drains hanging out of me.
SO deflated today, in more ways than one......................
My 14 year old son on the ride home from school.............."it seems to me this Plastic Surgery thing is way more of a hassle than the cancer!"
I have to agree!
-
4sew, go on your trip! I have traveled with 2 drains, you'll only have 1. Go for it girl, this is no reason to stay home. Be sure to keep covered so you don't catch it on anything.
-
Well I have traveled with the drains too, but this is to Vegas! I have never been. We know topless dancing is out of the question but now I guess no swimming or hot tubbing either. It's a free week at the Bellagio with my husbands company.
I am just so pissed right now! I don't think the draining is going to stop because since he removed my implant completely my arm feels better and is not swelling. I think the lymh fluid is collecting there. PS said he agrees that might be where fluid is coming from. So what is going to stop that? It will just go from arm to boob to drain, repeat :0(
Time will tell...................
-
April, get in touch with SAS Shelia in insomnia a thread. She just had her thyroid out a few weeks ago. She's also a retired RN, may be able to ease your worries some
-
April I am sending hugs and prayers for your daughter... I am so sorry having to worry about this!!! Call the office every morning to see if someone cancels. I know it seems nuts but people cancel all the time!! You could get her in sooner. Hugs and more hugs and remember one step at a time. Can you call her PCP sometimes doctor to doctor they will find a way to fit her in... Just ask it can happen!!
4 sending you hugs I am so sorry about all the complications... Maybe you can be extra safe and just lounge and not get above the waist wet?? The Bellagio is absolutely breath taking
Sweet Pea xoxoxo
-
StaceyLee, my daughter's name is Stacey Leigh! LOL...and she is 33 years old so I can't call any of her doctors. She is an Attorney in Boston MA and would KILL me if I meddled in any way. She actually said she was almost sorry she told me because she knows I am now going to worry a lot but hey, that is what parents do! We worry about our kids and just cause they are 33 does not mean I won't worry! Thanks for the hugs!
4, I know you will find a way to have a blast in Las Vegas with or without those drains! I agree with Stacey...the Bellagio is a stunning hotel/casino. I think it is one of the 3 prettiest on the strip. Never stayed there (could not afford to) but have eaten in a restaurant there and gambled there. Just incredibly beautiful as casinos go. Enjoy! To HELL with BC and all that it brings to us. Just this once, take it out of the equation as much as possible. HuGS!
-
April nodules on thyroid are very common. I have loads and they are all B9, so don't worry. I now its hard not too when its children involved.
Big hugs
-
Come visit me Mary - palease! All of youse!
I got off work because I turned 59 today - heading off to Jazzercise but needed to say a quick HI to my hoollies. Sorry I've been MIA - work is very short staffed and I've been working long days six days a week. Too pooped to party, but knowing this group you could incite pole dancing in a convent…….
I'll check in with y'all later, staying home today and hopefully doing NOTHING except cutting down the neighbors tree that fell on our fence in a windstorm. They moved away and are rotten to their tenants so I didn't expect them to lift a finger.I kept the insurance money and am wielding the chainsaw myself! Want a picture?
-
Shell u'r hysterical, but please be careful and I wouldn't call that doing nothing. And totally enjoy u'r Birthday---And when someone asks what did u do for u'r Birthday--they'll think u'r a lumberjack
-
Happy birthday Shells!!! Be careful with the chainsaw.
-
Happy Birthday Shell!!
We are on a hiatus from pole dancing at the convent for a while! Ever since Chevy broke her hip during our show!!
Enjoy your day!
YOu know I had to live up to the expectation!!
-
Damn! I wish it was MY birthday!
Have a good one Shells.
-
Shellie I absolutely want a pix.....you go girl!!!
