I'm always on my iPhone. Don't know how to get my pics on phone to here. Have tool bar. -
No more faces? That's just not right. Now you'll never get any pictures from me.Made it to the fair, but not the demo-derby, we watched wrestling instead, what a riot. Made it home safely and only missed 3 exits. Seriously. -
Oh Marygetslostallthetime--u were serious about getting lost. LOL U missed the Derby, oh that sounded fun too.
-
Mine has a tool bar but it's far too small for me to see. I usually just type anyway, but you may discover my spelling resembles Cammi's. -
Hey Hooligans ~ checking in. Y'all are doing a great job of keeping the our little slice of heaven hopping.
Veggette - are you taking probiotics? Ooops - what happened to our site - is it spell checking all of a sudden? I won't be able to understand what Cammi writes!! Veggy - hang in there, you have a lot to deal with but you are keeping a kick a** sense of humor.
Cammette - literally,CRAP. No wonder the problem happened when you went out to dinner last week. Poor baby. Have you been on antibiotics lately? Wondering if it is C. Difficile, a bug that happens after certain antibiotics.
Quatre - you funny, witty and a pretty smart cookie.
GG - I'm so doggone wiped out after starting new job right after DH hospitalization, I'm afraid I might not track your visit. PROMISE ME you will PM me a coupla weeks before you fly over.
Chicky is on her cruise, but has anyone hear from Phylly and Duckster? and Wren and April? are we missing anyone else?
The job looks good - I pretty much spent all 4 days reading policies, doing competency testing and short orientation sessions with my new boss. Next week I go out on a couple of visits with other nurses. Still a lot of unknowns. The pay and benefits are 25% less than what I used to have but that will probably get a little better as time goes on.
I work Mon - Weds then fly over to Oakland for my 40th HS reunion. Still trying to catch up stuff from when DH was in the hospital.
Be well, I will be checking in. -
Cami spells like she does because she also goes to the drinking thread!
Mary was not lost, only temporarily misplaced! After all she made it home!
OK to post a pic:
Find the pic you want
right mouse clock over it
click on copy (you can ctrl c it also)
Come Back here and click in the reply box
Type what you want to say
When you are ready to insert pic click on the rectangle above
A box will open. Click on "link"
Another rectangle box will open under it
Click inside it. Then right mouse click and hit paste (or ctrl v)
A long line of numbers and letters will appear. That is the link to the pic.
Then click insert at the bottom right corner.
Picture should appear. It does not always show though depending on the link.
That is the best help I can give as that is all I have figured out so far and have not had a lot of time to mess with it. My husband has tried to look at it too and was having trouble and he knows what he is doing with the computer!!
I can't help with the smileys. They are gone :-( insert one here)
Good Luck!
And Veggy...I am innocent THIS time. I really didn't do it!!! -
Ewe Shell, C Diff is nasty stuff. I hope that's not what has Cami Floopy.
Glad to hear the job is going well and DH is betterl. Competency testing?? Uh OH! Not sure most of us would pass that these days!!
I just got home from work. Not sure anyone else is around and this new "upgrade" has everybody flustered!
Good Night all! I'll catch up tomorrow and see how the picture posting is going! -
-
4--WTF u think I could remember any of that and even if I wrote it down forgetaboutit LOL
Shell it's good to hear from u, I'm sure u'r head must be spinning, but I'm glad u popped in. And a reunion? Good for u.U'll be busy.
I told u al about my typing before I worked for the government for years, do u really think anybody noticed??? The proof is in Washington DC not in the pudding. -
Cami--I tried to go slow enough for you to keep up and used little words!!! LOL
Hope you feelin less Floopy. BTW.. does that stand for "flowing poopie"?? -
-
4---mediclly speaking it stand for effin long poopy, I just kind of changed words. And I hve been tested for C-diff a lot after all I'm breaking records--going on 6 yrs that I have it. They have run out of tests.--but I haven't runnout of samples. And yet I am having another down the throat and up the ass soon. Diff. Dr. Oh well.
It's Funday Dork I hope u feel better todah and are now resting. I think I wil too, Now I think I'm getting a sinus infection I nowticed the voices in ny head aren't as loud like foggy sounding, I miss them when my head gets all cloggy, they're a lot of fun too. -
AS Hermiony would say "Harry erh Cami, even in the wizarding world hearing voices isn't good". I say as long as they're friendly and keep you company. Have tea and enjoy them. Just don't tell the docs. They have pills for that too.
Here a pill, There a pill, Everywhere a pill pill. Old Doc Giveyousomethingall thetime is there with his hand out.
Shells so glad it's you and not meI did miss work for along time. Now can't conceive of going back. Since this is new to you. One of the worst coordination nightmares is DME. A responsible DME company is worth their weight in gold. Speaking of DME. ALWAYS ask for a bed that is electric(not standard) Tell them the caretaker can't crank b/c they have a bad back. That usually does the trick. AND Half rails on the bed. Full rails, they get bumps and bruises on the backs of their legs getting out.
I'll send you two links with lots of info on how to set up a "sick house" (way old term". Info I made up or gleaned from working in homecare. Sassy -
no matter how I try to copy, paste I just get the choices delete or select all when I try to paste.
-
Newsflash---I've started on a couple of online dating sites.
Mary ROTFALOL when I read you "only missed three exits". Men and their direction or rather lack thereof.
4, those are the same directions Chevy gave. EXCEPT I have no tool bar. It's gone. (smile face inserted here).
To everyone, Phylliinhouston is feeling better. Her feet hurt 1. hand/foot syndrome which they tell her should be gone now(one month since last chemo). 2. neuropathy. She and DBF are having a great visit. They have been like sisters since young teen years. She's going to stay in Houston till after Thanksgiving. She's asked after everyone and sends her love. sassy -
The machine is changing the posts. I put in paragraphs. The machine glumps everything together. What's up with that?
-
The new system needs work! Hopefully they will get the bugs out of it soon!
Have a great day all :0)
(that's just not the same :0(. ) -
I know.... I just can't auto-correct, or post any kind of pictures.... Are they trying to tell me something? -
Good Morning Ladies!
Sorry the posts are still going wonky :-(
Harry Potter Humor? I like it!
Veggy asked me to post this in the spirit of the theme!
Translation: "crap, what's wrong?" -

This is what happens when I use the exact method that Chevy taught us. Before it produced pictures. UGH -
Shells, hope the links I sent you work. I don't have much faith that they will b/c they didn't turn blue like a usual hyperlink.
-
Sas- I'm eating the good yogurt with all the live cultures in it. The antibiotic put my gut in a lot of pain. It's right where the liver is located. I couldn't take the pain anymore so I stopped taking the pill. Now my gut hurts less. Cipro is the antibiotic. I go for chemo tomorrow so I'll let the doc know everything.
4- You are such a liar. I did not ask you to post that for me. It was Chevy.
I had a late night girl's night out last night. Got home late. Trying to get a little more sleep but the phone keeps ringing. Finally after eight calls I turned the phone off. Mother in laws. -
Veggy, it wasn't me about the probiotics , but it sounds like me doesn't it. In general, when a drug says take on an empty stomach, if it causes problems then the advice becomes "take with food". You're doing the right thing talking to your doc about it
AS an addition to probiotic discussion. PB'S should not be taken within minimum 2hours of an antibx. IF pb'S ARE taken THE ANTIBX JUST INDISCRIMANTLY KILLS IT. So hope you feel better VEG
-
My Mistake Veggy, this is what you asked me to post!!!
Hope you feeling better really soon! -
I saw too where the MODS are answering questions about the changes and it is in testing and they are fixing the quirks. Hopefully they will get it all sorted out soon. I am typing right now and my curser is moving but no words show up until I his preview. Weird!! Everything in the box was blank until I preview and then I can see the words. And the font size is different. -
Hi Hoolies--
OK everyone figure everything out, then teach me the easiest way...remember I don't learn easily. In fact I usually don't learn, so get all the bugs out first. Every single one of them How's that for being assertive. I'm going to rest awhie now-hahaha like I don't rest enuff. -
Morning all.
Well it is Monday here.Well that worked by clicking browse then going into my stored images and clicking on the picture. Now will try the link thing.
That worked as well.
Find you image on the web, click on it to get image location, open little box here, click link and paste image location in box. -
I asked Vegette about probiotics. I'm not very happy about the UTI / Cipro / side effect scenario - not very knowledgeable about resistant UTI during chemo. Girl - I'm so happy you had a girl's night out.
Did a garage sale at a friend's house yesterday - of a houseful of junk I cleared out. I need to stop ragging about the hole DH's hospitalization made in my schedule the week before new job - but I've been paying the price. Finally got my hair colored and mani-pedi in the afternoon for HS reunion, then went home and slept for 10 hrs, so feeling pretty good. Will need to work all day to clean up the detritus, fix lunches for next week (no decent cafeteria on site and no time to drive during 30 minute lunch break). It will be easier when I'm on the road.
I think I'm already starting to stick out a little on the job. Trying to keep a low profile and be humble, but it seems they think I'm special. I want to be a regular RN, not even telling people about my NP training. Was chatting with this really cool hospice RN about opioid tolerance in pain management and I shared something I learned with him - boss came up and he (RN) said to her- wow - she knows a lot! I got embarrassed and back pedaled and he said "don't discount your knowledge."
OK - so this is the scoop - I have always been bright and vocal - and it intimidates the hell of out of some people, and it has caused me a fair amount of discomfort in the workplace. I don't want to go there...just want to be humble. Normally love to engage in stimulating discussions about symptom management, especially after studying a topic, but need to be careful. Some people get irritated, so I think I need to just STFU. It's for the best - this job is really important to me - want to start off on the right foot. The culture here in Hawaii is very different, especially for a non-local person raised on the mainland. I'm hired as a union RN, not a NP, and need to learn the basics of Palliative Care first. Please pray for me, that I listen more and talk less. -
Okay Alyson.... I even tried to copy YOUR picture, as well as from Google Images, and it will NOT paste onto here... And when I try and submit, I get a pink box that says...
"There were problems with this submission. Please correct the following information:- Please enter content in the body of your Post."
- So I can post this, but with no pictures, and no spellll chick, no waveyy red lineee... nothings... (See?) It just lets me say whatever I type... just like Cammi....Ha!
- But I have told the Mods all about this...
- I have a Dell desktop, using AOL, and none of this happened before all of the changes.......

Shells, It is tough to hide your light under a basket. Just remember "scope of practice" that should help keep the RN/ NP separate and you out of trouble. I'm glad your job is interesting. Safe travels later this week.
