One thing I found interesting, as people came into the restaurant i could recognize our group with one exception by just looking at the faces. Everyone had a look of happy expectancy. The exception I knew even though she didn't look right or left when she came in, just headed to the restroom. But she had posted on our thread that she would be wearing red converses so I figured she was in our group.
-
What a fine looking group you are. I'm the one in Julia's cell phone.
Quatre - my husband is a cat lover, he was holding and petting his black cat a few minutes before I saw your picture - showed it to him and we both had such a good laugh.
He came home from the hospital yesterday - OMG what a difference...turns out the pain medication he was on was no longer working, so the four days of terrible pain he was in had him incapacitated. Smart call to admit him, now he is on a different type, at much lower dose. Very complicated about how the nerve cells get desensitized over time, I learned a lot that will help me in my new job which I START ON TUESDAY. It was a stressful week, but so happy to have him home and doing so much better.
-
Cami, I was so sorry to hear what happened at your get together.
Right after I read your post and the few following it, I went into a craft store. They had a display of sayings to hang on the wall- first one I saw said,
"I laughed so hard tears ran down my leg."
I know, I'm warped. Maybe it's all this rain.
-
Julia u are warped, just like the rest of us--and I wish it was just tears down my leg.LOL
OK my first Good Morning---It's a litte after 3:30ayem and of course I'm wide awake--This is why I sleep half the day even when I'm busy and don't sleep this is my wake-up time, my SIL wi be getting up soon and make coffee I'll see. It's 48 out now==feels good to me. About 70 today, also good.

-
Julia - you're not warped - you're a nurse!
Cammi - the whole time I was reading your episode, I thought it was #2 (diarrhea) - pls tell me it was "only" #1. Yes, I'm warped, too, shut up Cammi 💛
-
Shell, unfortunately I believe it was #2.
-
Yes it was #2---it just comes whenever it wants==no warning. LOL

Hey Hoolis,
Checking in after a brief period with no computer access as I finally MOVED TO MY OWN PLACE. Got the NED from my doctors and will restart my life again this week. New apartment, new furniture and stuff, Rudy the Pug snoring in his bed, LOTS of things to put away still and MUST find a JOB! Life is good! HUGS and BLESSINGS to all,
Flowers

Morning gals! Shane, no, I was just kidding when I said "4" must be a spy...Ha! She really isn't, but she fit in so well with all of us, we figured that it was un-natural...Ha! I mean the OTHER gals thought she was okay...because we "screened" her...Ha!
Now, as you can tell, she is keeping us on our toes, with her ramdom pics of cuties! Well her and CAMMI! Now THERE'S a pair! Oh wait! Then there's Chabba.... her too!
Loved the picture! Fun to see what y'all look like!

Good Morning Hoolies. Another week. Yay. Going to try for Tampa again today. Getting a chair electroplated. Antique brass. Hoping they will let me stay and watch awhile. Been reading about the process for 30 years or so. Only one company in Florida that does a full range. Brass, silver. platinum, chrome. bronze. Lost art in USA. Exciting.
Flowers, Hello, Happy you are in your own place. No judgemental BIL. As for a job. Try the unemploment office. It's really called something else. They each have a department that actively seeks to find jobs. I was told @ the time that employers were given some sort of incentive to hire through the department.
Shells Did you bring up about removing the cast? I know they poopooed it. BUT BUT BUT. Unusual prolonged pain complaints under a cast or dressing can be from impingement of structures underneath the overlayment. The elbow is a difficult area to protect b/c of the number of nerves rinning through the boney area. Particularly the ulnar nerve. Can lead to permanent disability. Whatever. BTW hope your job is everything you want it to be:)

Di and everyone that was at theNW party. Great pic. Good job on organizing Di. What fun.
Hows the insurance coming?

Sassy....There is this little place here, close to us that installed our wrought iron fence. It was designed by our neighbor, pretty elaborate, and we paid to have it put across our front walkway, adding to the side between our neighbor's house!
He put the fence in, and the pretty gates.... Then they came and sprayed this "acid" wash over it all! Man, I was just holding my breath! The next day our neighbor rinsed it all off. Then they came back and sprayed "clear-coat" over it all.
The end result is beautiful... sort of like what electroplated looks like. It is black in places, with bronze and golden high-lights. Is that what you mean you are doing?
-
Compliments of Bernie from the HTL!! Dont think she'll mind me passing it along :-) or is that too much like stealing gov't secrets, you know spy stuff and the like??
-
Chevy Not sure. The metal is cleaned. Then eltrocharged to mix up the ions (?). It's then dipped in the metal that is being adhered to the underlying metal. It was invented around 1850. It was huge at the time. Prior to that silver housewares were unattainable by the middle class b/c of cost. Silverplate was affordable.
Silverplate while not as economically valued as silver, it changed history socially. The greed today for metals to be melted down for the silver or copper etc. is very sad. The artistry of the items destroyed will never be seen again.
The process used to protect your fence sounds wonderfull. Could you ask your neighbor for the name of the company and I'll google them?
-
Shell,
Glad the kitty pic made you and hubby smile. Really good news that he is home and doing great. Pain can do weird things and the meds for them too. It's wonderful that they figured out what was happening and got him sorted out. Sounds like your week is off to a perfect start and your job will be too!
-
Hey Sas! Have fun today. I love watching stuff like that too! Glad you are out and about, felling better.
Cami, Cami, Cami, what are we going to do with you?
Northwest Ladies! Great pic. Looks like you all had a great time even with the yucky weather!
Morning Chevy!
Gotta run, my superiors are waiting on a report! (actually i gotta have a shower. I'm off to catch the rads train today. First zap at 2. Really gonna kill that gasoline budget going everyday. But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!)
-

Mornin Mary, Good Luck today. Hopefully this round will go better at the "bar". The first is the worst when your system says WTF? This time maybe it will just say "oh, it's this chit again!" Take care!
-
Hello everyone! I'm feeling good. Know why? Its my week off chemo.
Mary- I was hoping that by the fifth day after chemo you would be feeling a little better. That's when I start to feel more like myself.
