What to do????? Maybe I should try the hemp oil.there is a thread her on the alt.medicine thread.they speak openly on that and the MMJ.pot.
Way back when Chevy found me on those threads.

Chickie, my surgery was March 19 and I still have swelling in my rib area on the surgery side. I was able to wear a soft bra with a fluffy for a little while and it was never comfortable but then it became painful. I finally asked MO if it should still be swollen and the answer was no. PT who was doing LE prevention stuff also agreed. We were watching for it in my arm but it showed up first in my ribs.
-
Hey chicky..ya gotta check that out ASAP.LE sucks..BUT if you catch it right away it can be manageable..
-
Ok thanks!
-
Chick...make sure you go to a Lana certified therapist.i went throu 4 different ones.
you should also check out the I hate LE thread.good info on there.
Good luck.i hope you don't have it. -
The nearest certified LE specialist for me is 4-5 hours away. I'm still trying to figure it out.
-
Damn...that suks.what about your nearest hospital. The good hospitals have them on staff..I hope that one is close by. Good luck.
Prayers goin up for you right now.
Xo princess -
They have certified person on staff at my cancer center at Cleveland Clinic......I swear I am a walking PSA for how to get every common chemo symptom...lol...thank God I am a "whatever" type of girl!
-
if its LE it doesn't always come from chemo.it can come from rads and havin nodes removed.Check out that thread.you will get a great education...I did.
Still hoping u dont have it.if its bothering you now keep it raised above your heart by a pillow and drink lots of water along with deep breathing.none of this can hurt you just in case you don't have it.fingers crossed that you don't. -
HELLLOOOOOOOOO BUSY WEEKEND HAVE10 + PAGES TO CATCH UP ON SINCE FRIDAY AND A BOTTLE OF WINE. HERE FOR THE NIGHT. BE BACK ,GOING TO READ.
No DDBF and I didn't break up. And you would all just shake me if I tell what I did. You know I get looser lips and fingers as the wine flows, so, the truth may well come out. OH but big big hugs for all your words of support and caring. They mean allot. Only wish we were all together. It's be so much fun to do stuff together like Sunday dinners, shopping, walks. Family like things. Another BIG HUG and Smiles. Sassafrass
-
Chickid, what ppk said. I had 47 nodes removed, so no wonder things are messed up.
I'm about equidistant from Denver and Omaha or Lincoln. My PT here in town has experience but no certification. The cancer center an hour away is the same situation.
My PT here DID call my MD Anderson certified LE specialist about a plan. Current recommendation for me is a spanx compression tank top. It's been ordered, but I will still need a bra for my poor compressed leftie.
Edited to STFU. :-)
Ugh. -
Miss FlatPhyllo...maybe you can use some dough in your leftie!
-
I lied...I do have 3 tats from rads-does that count? I also have truncal lymphedema which sucks too. Arm is not bad. I was thinking about getting some compression t-shirts, but I hate spending 45$ on 1 t-shirt. Does anybody have any and do they work? Waiting for ds and future dil to come visit..yipee-get to here more plans about the wedding, and its still 6 months away...be back later.
-
those spanks tops are expensive.
Sas---been thinkin of you all weekend but i saw you posted on fb sooo i knew you were still alive...and you didnt kill him either....tell us what you did.....i know its gonna be good.ha.
-
Oh puleeze Sas-we need a good story. We need to get off the subject of my blow-up doll.
-
Sas. Girl....spill your guts....we won't reprimand you honest....lol
-
Marywhary, we get hit with bad news sooo much, it's a wonder we have any legs to stand on, but we keep each other up, glad you had the play day on big toy looking. It's ancient history friday, todays Sun. Hope games with GS were a hoot and you survived
Granny you pegged it re break up" (if it happens?)". I should mostly keep my mouth shut about us(DDBF&I). Cuz we are so back and forth. But we shall see. I said everyone would shake me. I had promised to by him a sports jacket for his daughters HS graduation. I took him to Mens Warehouse. Buy one get one. OH my couldn't pass that up. Well, 2 jackets, 2pants, 2 shirts later. 618$. I'm incredibly cheap-frugal. But can be generous to a fault. How cheap is cheap, My cars are always old old old. This one is going to turn 10 this fall, last was 16-17. Last had no a/c for 10 years maybe(INFLORIDA) and a window on drivers side that didn't work for years. I kept a screw driver and hammer in the car, to take the door off to hit the window motor to get it to work. Could I afford to get it fixed --yes, just too cheap. So, putting that in prespective of the clothes for DDBF. He grew up really poor. So, did I. The clothes I bought him, he's never had the like of them, ever. We may break up next week (yeah, right or maybe). But the satisfaction that he was going to look sharp for his DD's HS graduation. Priceless. I told him there are two days in a girls's life that dad has to look great. HS graduation and wedding day. Why we don't care so much for college graduation don't know. He was overwhelmed, at one point I thought he was going to cry. Last Christmas I bought him 5 pairs of shoes, several work, 2 play, 1 dress, from Payless the sales were GREAT--139$. Why. He'd never owned more than one pair of shoes, plus boots when up north, at a time. His work really requires a shoe rotation b/c they get wet. His work ethic is incredible, but hasn't got a clue--none--- about money management. DS feels I could be doing "better". It was kinda of nice when DS said "Mom I'm only going to say this once, because this is to wierd, your a catch". That was way cool, I'll treasure that forever. So, enough about DDBF. What I'll do is if it becomes a permanent, I'll let you know. Otherwise, I'll keep quiet about it, don't need anymore roller coaster rides then what we have. AGAIN, all of you treasured sisters Hugs

O duckyb1, phgraham, chevyboy camillegal and ALL - You are just hysterical today. LMAO, just what I needed. I myself LOVE the Beep Beep o the car alarm! Perhaps I will take my car keys to bed tonight as my room in in the front of my
Sis's house and so is hers and the Captain's and I will just play with my car alarm for a while. Beep, Beep, Beep beep, Beep, beeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppp!!!!. HA! That might teach them not to mess with this Sista. Had a great day at church with a lovely group of friends. Returned home to everyone watching the USA v. Germany soccer match and the USA pulled it off! Yes! Proceeded to drink almost an entire bottle of chiled white wine and finish my red velvet birthday cake for brunch. DELICIOUS but honestly it is just 7:20 pm here in N. TX. and I am already in my jammies and ready for beddie bye! Guess that a good white wine and terrific red velvet cake on an empty stomach is NOT the perfect brunch. As far as the "Fruits and Nuts" in the house go, it was a blessed, uneventful day. Everyone seems to have taken a chill pill finally and just in time. Do not know if I will still make a break for it and move to my own place or not. That remains to be seen and tomorrow is another day. Peace, prayers and love to ALL U funny folks and a blessed week!Flowers

Mary, you were WILD?, can expect that of Chevy she writes to knowingly to be innocent. But tats and biker bars. Remember Winger in Stripes saying "I want to party with youuuuu".
Hi ! diane
Wait a minute, I'ma thinking about all our past stories and posts. I think one of our commonalities is that we were wild. ANOTHER SURVEY. Short survey. One question.
Question: According to what was considered normal for age group 15 to 24 y/o, would you describe yourself in this age group as .........
1 conservative. modeled after Cunningham. 2. Fonzi(great heart), but wild & crazy?
-
YEs, I was a Fonz type, wild and partying. Broke rules as much as possible. Not in trouble with the law, but only cuz i didn't get caught---there we go, I'm the first this should lead into some GOOOOODDDDD stories.
-
Yes, FONZ type here too. Broke ALL the rules under the thumb of an old school Italian Dad. Wow tho did I have a BLAST all the way thru Graduate school at GWU! Still here to talk/tell about it too which is amazing in itself!
Peace!

PS - Beep Beep!
-
I was conservative only because I had to be....lived at home with a very strict Scottish father and a see all German mother....lol...broke curfew many times ....that's about as rebellious as I got.
-
#2 Wild at heart...
-
I broke every rule my poor mom tried to make.she would say you are not goin out.i said watch me.yea I was the wild one..ran away to get married ...now that was dumb.
Remember my father died when I was 8.me princess was the boss.
Sas..nice to have u back. -
Cunningham, through and through. Studied hard,babysat... Did a lot of family activities. Didn't feel the need to be a rebel.
Not so any more.
-
Sas.....can I change mine to #2 ....wild at heart.
-
I was a Richie Cunningham with a smart mouth. Um, very smart mouth. However, I always wanted to be wild and crazy. I learned early though, that I was the one that always got caught and punished. Soooo, I would SAY it, but not do it. I was scared silly the ONE time I skipped school. Sheesh what a weenie.
What a waste of time! I should have just been a bad girl. It would have been much more fun!
-
Who liked the bad guys?????besides ME...
And who went for looks besides ME?
I think I just changed the subject....sorry.
Just wondering out loud.
Ok I will STFU -
I'm so old I never watched Happy Days. Maybe my kids did. I lived in Europe and Africa in my late teens ..without family.... Now that was rebellion. I just wanted away from my sheltered life. OK, I had a smart mouth, and subborn personality. Now, I'm just an old frumpy retired English teacher.
-
Well, I certainly went for the bad boys too! and Jan69, you could never be old and frumpy and be so much fun here on this thread with the STFU gang!
