Goodnight and pleasant dreams, east coasters.
Sun just setting on this coast. It's actually been sunny today-supposed to that way tomorrow. Strawberries are starting to ripen so hope the rains hold off for a few more days.
-
They are called Mustache Mask. (mustachemask.com) you can find them on ebay and etsy. There are three different styles. The other two... one has a mustache and the other is a smiling mouth with teeth.

Goodbye to May...and that means cmb had the birthday month...best wishes to the BD girl....i know i know it's after midnite...but it still counts. (cmb = celebrated many birthdays)
My two darling grandkids were delivered and I am already exhausted...we had a good night but they were up until 10 PM. Older boy plays X=box and I set him up with his own TV and space in the living room; younger girl plays piano -- LOUD.
SAS - I hiked for days in shrublands in CA...got home and was sprouting a rash...then it got bad. Just got lotion and it worked for now. I have never had chemo. But it seems my immune system may be down a bit. Nobody ever talks about that with me.
Now, Sassy, I do think you have a new career -- "My Man Makeover" -- you seem to know the business. Too bad you are so successful...who the heck does he think he is now???
...I did follow your train of thought but not sure about your ultimate decision....Hope you find some peace in this.I can't read back everything I missed right now...kids will be up before I get to bed.
(welcome diane and dwhooligan)
g'nite Granny, hope you are feeling better -
Holy Hooligans! I think you done scared off that new one! That would have scared me back the being re-virginized. Dianne, We each seem to have a persona to live up to. I think I try to be the meek mild one who lurks in the bushes most of the time. I'm known as a hippie and a Ding a Ling, or was it Ding Dong? But I don't hang out with chickens or goats. And my furbabies are of the wild type: Bambi, Thumber, Gopher, and the occasional Micky and Minnie, even Smokey the Bear hangs out here.
I've been away visiting grandbabies this week before my appointment with thyroid specialists. Will get another biopsy in 2 weeks.
I'm a long time macular degeneration survivor. Who was it talking about it? Dry MD is slow progressing, but has no treatment. Wet MD progresses quickly but now has treatment. I lost one eye to Wet MD about 15 years ago before the current treatment (shots--eeek) was approved. My "good" eye went from dry to wet MD about a year ago. The shots have worked and I can still see to do just about everything. MacDegen is another gift of old age. Good luck to the sista who has it now.
Those in harms way tonight--I'm thinking of you. Hope you all have basements or cellars.

cybernai, Is it your birthday? Well Happy, Happy Birthday! It 3 Am here and I have not gone to bed--still wide awake. Hope you go all out and make it the best birthday ever.
julianna, yes it stormed all night--lightening, thundering and hail. tornado warnings were going off right and left. I sat through it all with my candles burning and read my book.--it is quiet now--since technically it is the next day. Don't know when I am going to bed--just not sleepy.
Okay, I am going to admit it-love being up in the middle of the night-morning when everyone else is asleep. LOL!!! this is crazy since I live alone anyhow, but I like to peak out of my windows and see who else is being a nightime renegade.
Sas--getting the nick names down. thanks my hooligan buddy!
-
Joan....good morning.....lol....I just read your post.....yes our immune systems have been compromised with or without chemo.....I didn't have chemo either but Indid have rads,
which you did also....so that most certainly qualifies. I'm an ex registered dietitian, now teaching but I still love to do research and now it's all about food and C of course.
While talking with my GP whom I've known for 25 yrs, he said the two most important things to fighting and surviving cancer are having a strong immune system and having the least amount of stress as possible. I know, easier said than done.
I'm one of the 2% who actually loses weight on Letrozole, and I did in fact lose a lot.
I looked ghastly, felt ghastly and, of course, had no energy. So after much research and
discussions with various individuals, I started to include various types of mushrooms
into my diet on a DAILY BASIS.
Now, after two months, I feel so much better, tons of energy and I'm actually gaining
my weight back. Not to sound vain but my colleagues at school tell me they see a big difference in me, my skin colour, my hair is growing and NOT falling out now (due to Letrozole) I'm not nauseous anymore.....wow...I sound like a walking ad for mushrooms
here Joan, sorry.
Joan, if you want to send me a PM, so I don't bore these hooligans too much, I will
tell you all the different kinds I include, plus one tincture I take. -
Oh! I get it! The Scottlinyard gal is TAKING mushrooms? SURE you are! Wink, wink...
So I remember my youngest Daughter talking about the OTHER kids taking "mushrooms".... like psychedelic mushrooms? And getting high? Scottieeeeee you little devil you! You little renegade! Okay.... TELL us what YOURS are called....
(Oh THIS HAS to be good!) I don't actually think they are legal, but then some of the stuff we do isn't either!)
Okay, Dwillinilli is still here, and is ALmost hooliganized! I think she has to join one of ProudDucksters flights before this can be authenticated.Morning Janaramadingdong...Don't leave us! The "other" ones will take over, and you KNOW what happens then! Yes.... you can be the Hippie one.... You and my Daughter! She always thought they were "cool."And I think my stint with the chickens is done...Those little cluckers are just not tame-like. They are acting like it is THEIR hen-house, and I am an inter-loper... Those damn neighbors should be HOME, but I don't see their car out front. If I HAVE TO SPEND ANYMORE TIME over there I will just have a chick-fit!
