Brandi Glanville using breast issue for publicity?

My teenager watches the beverly hills housewives show and told me that this star was having breast surgery, so naturally I looked it up online. She is the ex wife of the guy who left her for LeeAnne Rimes. Anyhow, from the story....

"The reality star (and ex-wife of Eddie Cibrian) was alerted to the presence of the tumor after feeling ill for months.  Doctors found the tumor, and concluded the mass was to blame for Brandi's symptoms. Fortunately, tests revealed the growth to be non-cancerous."

I didn't know benign tumors made you feel ill for months.  Why would you tell the public all of this anyhow, trying to get attention and sympathy?  Not like she's telling women to have their mammos.  She has one benign mass removed and it's trending on Twitter with an outpouring of sympathy. Something about this story is making me mad. Anyone else?

carpediem1965 - I had no idea who Brandi Glanville was until I was channel surfing last night and caught the tail end of "The Insider" (the show that comes on right before "Entertainment Tonight.")

Apparently she has been feuding with Lee Ann Rimes over... whatever. The reporter asked her if she had contacted Lee Ann personally to discuss her issues, and her reply was that she "preferred to use Twitter."

HUH?

Can you say "Publicity $*#&%"?
