Elevated ldh and having a pet scan

My onc has been watching my ldh numbers increasing for 7 months now. I have had a ct scan of my liver which showed 2 unchanged spots. Since it is still going up she recommended a pet scan. Is it possible that the ldh is going up for some other reason? I should've asked more questions but didn't. What type of cancer is she looking for?
Has this happened to you and what did they find? Kinda scared!

Are you on an aromatase inhibitor? Those can make LDH go up.

I am on arimidex. My oncologist didn't mention that this could be the cause. Maybe I should postpone the pet scan( don't like the thought of the radio tracer) and stop the arimidex to see if it is the cause.
