A very promising drug called PD 0332991 increased PFS from 26 months to placebo- 8 months in comparison, when used in combination with Letrozole.

It would seem combination treatments are the wave of the future in BC

Here is the clinical trials info. Has anyone seen a BC trial with results half this good, I haven t. Makes me wonder what the results would be like if they combined PD0332991 with Afinitor and Fulvestrant              (Faslodex).      Dr K. Blackwell says shes excited about it, Dr Finn of UCLA reffered to these results as groundbreaking.

I hope the FDA fast tracks this one.

Herceptin probably was this good (for Her2+ patients).   Otherwise nothing this good for a decade and more.    Yes as a first in class, groundbreaking great early results, it's very exciting!

It sounds phenomenal! And for metsers with stable disease 70% of those given both drugs benefitted!
