I am a long-time survivor who'd like to stay that way.  I had been taking DIM but stopped because I read things about the owner of the particular company that gave me great pause.  When I started to look around for DIM put out by other companies I noticed in the research something that escaped me earlier - DIM increases PR levels.  Well my BC was ER+/PR+/HER+.  I'm now wondering if I should be using it at all due to the fact that I am PR+?

Anybody?

Hello HappyTrisha - I'm glad to hear that you're a long-time survivor! I had ER+/PR+ BC Stage I. I consulted with a naturopathic physician after my surgeries and she has me taking DIM, along with other supplements. As far as my own personal experience, I can tell you that I had a pyogenic granuloma on my gums. The dentists told me it was hormone / stress related. I'd had this mass for months. I'd tried their prescription oral rinse. I tried salt water rinses, both to no avail after several weeks. Within one week of starting the DIM supplementation, I noticed a considerable difference in the mass. It was shrinking / resolving. I couldn't believe it. I was so pleasantly surprised! The first month on DIM, my period came without warning. I usually had terrible cramps prior to starting. My period was also shorter and much easier to endure. I have only been taking DIM for a short while, but I can honestly say I've experienced encouraging, positive results. My energy levels are slowly starting to increase as well. I wish I would have been better informed by my doctors about the serious dangers of estrogen dominance. I would've started taking DIM long ago. The fact that you're a long time survivor who chose to take DIM makes me feel even more secure in my decision.
